FAI, Italian Fund for the Environment, rewards the digital story made by the class 5D of the G. Mameli primary school from Recco (GE)

The winner of the “Scegli l’Italia” contest, promoted by FAI (Italian Fund for Environment), has been announced. The winning story was created in Recco following the trail of the IdigStories – Stories Educational Learning Facilities, and won the national prize dedicated to primary schools.
The teachers arranged a didactic trip in search of the beauty of Italy, dedicating particular attention to innovative routes, capable of truly telling the story of the places to visit, through experience and actively involving the students.
Last year the class visited the Walls of Barbarossa and the Towers of Porta Soprana in Genoa, and showed genuine curiosity and interest for the story of these places.
This is the reason why, after a short time, Coop Zoe offered the teacher an insight activity regarding the Idig Stories project.
This is how the Let’s find out more about the Walls of Barbarossa in Genoa video was done. The children became the narrators of their own experience, going over the story of the places they visited and telling it by using the photos they took and the 3d models created during the prearation of the video.
The FAI assigned the first award to their video because of the objectives accomplished by the class during the multidisciplinary work of producing and editing the digital story, which allowed the children to perform didactic activities in order to create props for their video, the production of which was also handled by them.

As promised, we are keeping this platform alive. The last contributions we received allowed us to open a new video section, dedicated to the video which have been produced by learners and organizations who received and follows the lesson-learnt from the project “I DIG STORIES- Stories Educational Learning Facilities”. The first three videos to open the section have been produced in 2016 by Claudia Guidi, who was at that time the communication officer of Coirag Torino.

The “I dig stories” project came to its conclusion. For all participating partners, it was a fantastic and wonderful adventure where we learned to use digital storytelling as a new method of work. We’ve tested it on us and our colleagues. We have developed the first complete Guide to digital storytelling methodology. We applied the lesson-learnt in many workshop that partners run in several European countries.

We received valuable advices from those who participated to the workshops. We built the toolkit with these feedback, in order to foster the practical application of digital storytelling, so that others can develop and conduct their own digital storytelling workshops. In the process, we produced over 40 videos, and we posted online all that have been authorized by the authors. We have gone through this process of work with many of you, and we would like to thank you: thanks to the more than 10.000 people who followed us on the EOR platform and our social media.

Thanks to over 2.000 people who downloaded the methodology guide and the toolkit. Thanks to the hundreds of wonderful people of all ages and many different cultures who participated to the workshops and the multiplier events across Europe. Thanks to the ones who is asking us to continue the adventure and to launch new workshops in our territories. The project officially closed on August 31, but our adventure will continue. arrange a training with you. On our side, we will continue to post, share and offer the results of our work to foster the diffusione and dissemination of digital storytelling.

Il modo più pratico per realizzare il potere e il potenziale del DIGITAL STORYTELLING, i suoi effetti su noi stessi e sugli altri, è sperimentarlo.

Insieme a partner provenienti da cinque diversi paesi Europei, insieme a Diciannove s.c. abbiamo sviluppato il progetto “i dig stories – stories educational learning facilities” che offre a tutti coloro che vorranno avvicinarsi una visione di insieme metodologica ed esperienziale del digital storytelling.  Il digital storytelling è un mirabile strumento narrativo, plastico e flessibile, adattabile a diversi contesti del lavoro educativo, didattico, clinico e di comunità.

Il progetto ha elaborato e messo a disposizione di tutte/i:

• una piattaforma OER  (Open Educational Resource) dove è possibile trovare tutti i materiali sviluppati nel progetto

Danmar Computers, as a partner in IDigStories project, would like to invite you to the digital storytelling workshop, that will take place on 30^th June at 12:00, in Hotel Ambasadorski (Rzeszów). La narrazione digitale come strumento di conoscenza e coesione

Siamo lieti di invitarvi al workshop sul racconto digitale che si terrà giovedì 22 giugno alle ore 16, presso il Centro Allende, La Spezia.
Con voi vorremmo condividere l’esperienza maturata nell’ambito del progetto europeo IDigStories – stories educational lerning facilities ed esplorare le potenzialità di utilizzo della narrazione digitale da parte di fruitori differenti: singoli e gruppi, adulti e bambini.
Durante l’incontro verranno presentate alcune storie nate da questo lavoro: le nostre sperimentazioni, il racconto di una classe, la narrazione di un paese alle prese con le sue tradizioni e le storie, reali e fantastiche, realizzate per noi dai Mitilanti, suggestionati dalle foto dell’Archivio della Società di Mutuo Soccorso Unione Fraterna.

L’Archivio, recentemente digitalizzato, verrà presentato nell’ambito dell’incontro, al termine del quale, i partecipanti potranno richiedere alcune immagini con le quali creare la propria storia.
